The Tempranillo is the only grape not grown on the family estate. Growing nearby, by a trusted grower here in San Diego County, the process is managed by Alex.
The grape is of Spanish descent, and has some spice with a softness of butter and dark plum fruit. Mild tannins, with 18 months aging in American oak.
The 2016 vintage was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, which is the largest competition of North American Wines.
