The Tempranillo is the only grape not grown on the family estate. Growing nearby, by a trusted grower here in San Diego County, the process is managed by Alex.
The grape is of Spanish descent, and has some spice with a softness of butter and dark plum fruit. Mild tannins, with 18 months aging in American oak.
We are currently pouring and selling the 2017 vintage, but the 2016 vintage was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, which is the largest competition of North American Wines.
