Made from our very own Syrah grapes, this a sinful style of fortified wine. Fermented to dryness before the fortification with neutral grape spirit, this is NOT a sweet dessert wine. The alcohol lends it a smooth, rich mouthfeel, that initiallly feels like it has some sugar in it, bu tthe Syrah tannins break through, with notes of dark chocolate, earthiness, tobacco, and rich dark berries. Alcohol re-asserts itself on the finish. Not your typical port-style sipper, but see the pairings for suggestions.
